The Iridescent Void

A Silent Circle of Self Awareness

The Silent Circle is a calm, spacious gathering where we sit together in shared stillness. There is no pressure to perform, no special skill required, and no specific belief system assumed. It’s simply a peaceful environment to breathe, settle, and reconnect with yourself alongside others, experiencing a very particular enhancement of conscious awareness.

How the Silent Circle Unfolds

1. Opening (1 bell) We light a candle, and enter five minutes of quiet settling. This is a chance to breathe, soften, and let the noise of the day fall away.

2. The Servings Section (2 bells) This section is divided into three rounds. Each round begins with a pair of bells, followed by about eight minutes of silent sitting. Participants receive their serving at the beginning of each round, then sit quietly as the effects gently unfold. The entire group remains in stillness together.

3. Closing the Servings (3 bells) After the final round, three bells sound to mark the end of the serving portion.

4. Returning (silent period) We then enter a fifteen-minute period of quiet rest. This helps everyone settle back into themselves gently, allowing the experience to integrate without rushing.

5. Ending the Silence (6 bells) Six soft bell tones close the formal silent portion.

6. Sharing (optional) After the bells fade, sharing is opened. People may speak one at a time, briefly, without discussion or back-and-forth. This allows space for personal reflection without analysis or debate

7. Closing We acknowledge one another, say a few simple closing words, and extinguish the candle.

After that, the lights come up a bit and general conversation is welcome. People are free to leave quietly if they prefer, and many choose to stay and talk for a little while.
